RPS Studio SP-300 Monolite 600ws Photography Lighting Kit Features:
This kit features 2 sleek, compact and reliable 300 watt/second monolites that have user replaceable flash tubes and step-less variable power from 1/8 th to full. The guide number at full power is 160 @ ISO 100/ft. The trigger voltage is DC 5V which makes them safe for use with all digital SLRs. Maximum recycling time is 2 sec. at full power. Units feature a built-in slave/photocell that is sensitive up to 36ft. Unit features a ready light, full recycle indicator light, as well as an audible recycle indicator which can be turned on or off and a test button. The modeling lamp is a standard 100 watt quartz (included) which track with the power setting of the flash head and may be turned off. Uses standard 110V household electricity, has a locking umbrella holder, and an Elinchrom style front bayonet mount to accept reflectors, soft boxes, barndoors, etc. Each monolite has a standard 8” reflector.

A new high tech design gives the photographic lighting reflectors in this kit a big quality improvement over older style reflectors that have been on the market for years. This new design eliminates concentric circles and hot spots resulting in vastly improved light quality and thus, final picture quality. Additionally, each reflector in this kit is designed with durability in mind. The sockets are ceramic, rated to 660 watt reducing the chance socket failure due to overheating, even with 500 watt bulbs. The on/off switch is in the UL/CSA 2 wire line cord, away from the heat of the socket. The socket is designed to move smoothly forward and backward in the reflector giving the photographer greater artistic control over the light width.
